This year again, Close Up Call for applications has ended successfully. We received more than 140 applications for the Close Up 2022-2023 program from all across Southwest Asia & North Africa. There has been an extraordinary amount of powerful applications hailing from Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kurdish/Iran, Kurdish/Iraq, Kurdish/Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and Yemen.

We would like to thank all the applicants for trusting us with their projects, our international selection committee and founding partners will review each project with great interest.

We will inform the 16 selected projects for the Close Up 2022-2023 program at the end of October.

At Close Up, we are committed to support filmmakers to create powerful documentaries with important and urgent stories to tell.
