Take on Afghanistan at Movies That Matter

A few days ago, Movies That Matter hosted an important panel featuring several Close Up filmmakers and friends: Sahra Mani, Aboozar Amini and Dawood Hilmandi.

Sahra Mani participated in our program as a filmmaker with her film A Thousand Girls Like Me (2019), Aboozar Amini (Kabul, City in the Wind, 2018) is also a Close Up filmmaker and colleague, and Dawood Hilmandi is a current Close Up filmmaker participating in our 2021 / 2022 cohort.

We are thrilled you could share your work, insights, and talent with the audience in The Hague!

“Take on Afghanistan” was moderated by Orwa Nyrabia, Artistic Director IDFA.
